1. Responsibility:
• Engage with customers in the design process and evaluate user feedback
• Coordinate with product manager and engineering to define and implement innovative design solutions that align with business direction and improvements in user experience
• Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mock-ups optimized for web, mobile and tablets
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, user flows, process flows, sitemaps, and prototypes
• Seek to establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards
• Build and manage a talented, diverse, inclusive team of product designers that consistently delivers on projects and is well-balanced across a range of design skill sets
• Responsible for overall team performance and health, resource allocation, project prioritization, and building a culture of design excellence
• Lead and oversee the user experience of a product from conception to launch in partnership with product managers, engineers, UX researchers and content designers
• Contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of Ideku’s products.
2. Requirements:
• Extensive experience in using UI / UX best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
• A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
• Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, Adobe Creative Suite and the like is a must.
• 6 + years of work experience as a UI/UX Designer in a B2C verticals, preferably in fintech
• Strong portfolio of work demonstrating design thinking, design process, and solutions for web and mobile applications.
• Experience in start-ups, SMEs and fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
• Demonstrable experience in delivering beyond commitment, taking ownership and accountability for successful outcomes within deadlines.
• Has excellent communication skills (verbal, written, facilitation) with strong presentation and facilitation skills at all levels in the organization.
• Has excellent problem-solving, analytical, and evaluative skills.
